DanceBody classes deliver different dance styles and various formats with flex and tone options. Whether you want to get into the groove, get fit, tone up or improve your flexibility, it all happens here!

ENJOY A FRIENDLY AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT

Women of all fitness levels and dance capabilities enjoy these classes. The steps are kept simple and easy-to-follow so you learn the basics and build confidence at your own pace. These classes are not about polished technique. These classes are about enjoyment and positivity.

DIFFERENT DANCE STYLES AND FUN CLASS FORMATS

60 minutes of easy-to-follow dance-fitness. Different dance styles. Basic steps and combinations. Low impact fitness moves. Suits all levels.

45 minutes of easy-to-follow dance-fitness followed by 15 minutes of relaxing stretch. Includes stretches on the mat. You’ll feel energised and revitalised!

30 minutes of easy-to follow dance-fitness plus 30 minutes of body-toning with bands. Get your dance fix and improve muscle tone all in one class.

MEET YOUR DANCEBODY INSTRUCTOR

Simone Wood

Simone is the founder of The Phoenix Tribe. She’s a former professional dancer and qualified personal trainer specialising in strength-stability programs for women. In her 20’s, Simone suffered a severe back injury and turned to exercise to heal her spine. She brings over 30 years experience teaching dance and over 13 years experience working with women as an holistic personal trainer. Simone has performed at major dance events and venues in Sydney including The Basement, Sydney Latin Festival and The Latin Garden. Simone has helped hundreds of women use exercise to heal their bodies using her unique holistic methods. Today, Simone’s passion is helping women design the life of their dreams and create radiant health and happiness.

FEEL THE LOVE

They say – Dance like nobody is watching!  Well, I am not a dancer, I generally do not like gym environments and I am definitely not a trim, taut and terrific thirty-something year old! However, I AM now dancing salsa /samba (albeit at the back of the class), without even realising the cardio and stretch work out I am doing in a very friendly, non-threatening environment, alongside women of all ages and enjoying the 60 minutes of movement, music and meditation.Simone brings her warmth, energy, joy and knowledge to each class and encourages every participant to just enjoy the movement and time to oneself. It’s a great way to start a morning! You’re dancing like nobody is watching and you will feel uplifted!

A friend suggested I go with her to Simone’s DanceBody classes to get fitter in a fun and social environment. So I went with her and it was such fun that I forgot that I didn’t like doing exercise. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Women of all fitness and dance capabilities enjoy these classes. The steps and combinations are kept simple and broken down so you can learn the basics and build confidence at your own pace.

In-person classes are held in the Gladesville-Hunters Hill area, located just 15 minutes from Sydney CBD.

If you’d love to continue after your trial, you have 2 options.

  1. You can purchase a 6 week Class Pass and attend 1, 2 or 3 classes per week for 6 weeks.
  2. You can become a Tribe Member and attend 1, 2 or 3 classes per week with easy fortnightly payments.

You pay according to how many classes you want to attend each week.

1x class per week: $25 p/class

2x classes per week: $22.50 p/class

3x classes per week: $19.70 p/class

Wear comfy active wear with trainers or jazz sneakers. Bring a fitness towel, water bottle and a smile 🙂 If you’re attending Dance-Flex or Dance-Tone please also bring a fitness/yoga mat.

These classes are for ALL women looking for fun exercise. Women in their 30’s through to late 70’s enjoy these classes.
