The New Rules Of Lasting Radiant Health

The old paradigm programmed us to seek solutions to our health and healing outside of ourselves. The old paradigm is not sustainable. Now we witness the emergence of a new paradigm. The new paradigm brings power back to the people. The new paradigm heralds a deeper knowing that the answers we seek are and always have been, inside us. As we reunite with our innate intuitive wisdom, we remember that we are ultimately responsible for our own health and resume our role as participants in our own healing, and that’s empowering!

My Story

Everything  I discuss in this article, I have personally experienced. During this lifetime, I’ve suffered a lot of physical illness and chronic pain. My first life-saving operation was performed at the age of 2. I was fed synthetic drugs throughout my entire childhood and teenage years. In my early 20’s my chronic illnesses worsened and I spent a lot of time in and out of the emergency ward at hospitals. The illnesses and injuries continued, culminating in another near-death experience following the birth of my first child at age 31. At age 36 following the birth of my second child, I suffered my most severe and final health crisis. It was during the darkest phase of this health crisis, in September 2010, that I experienced a spontaneous spiritual kundalini awakening. My journey back to health, since that moment, has been nothing short of miraculous. I’ve never shared my health journey in full detail. But I’m sharing parts of it now because I am living proof that the new rules for creating lasting radiant health, do actually work. They saved my life and I still live by them today.

#1 Follow your passions and live with joy. Do you live with joy? Does your life express your authenticity? Do you make your passions a priority in your life? Or have you parked your purpose to live someone else’s idea of a successful life? This was me. I’d lost the passion. My life held no joy. I was so caught up being somebody I wasn’t, I was slowly dying on the inside and as a result, I was also dying on the outside. The quantum leap in reclaiming my health came when I started dancing again. I’d always loved to dance. It made me feel so happy. When my health hit rock bottom, I eventually turned within and patiently waited for the answers. Soon after, I innately knew I had to do anything and everything to bring joy back in my life. So I followed my intuition and signed up for salsa dance lessons. The healing began. This is why I dance. Whether I’m the teacher or the student, the simple fact that dance places me in a state of joy makes it a powerful healing elixir. Living a life of joy that expresses your passions and purpose is my #1 new rule of lasting radiant health. What makes you truly happy? Are you making time for those things in your life? Start now.

#2 Speak kindly to yourself. Imagine someone you love dearly. Now close your eyes and hear yourself speaking lovingly to them. Do you speak to yourself in this way? If not, why not?
How you speak to yourself and about yourself, influences your health. Whatever you focus on, grows.  When you shout “NO” at something you keep it alive and well in your experience. Do you realise that every complaint is an affirmation of something you think you don’t want in your life? Every time you get angry, you’re affirming that you want more anger in your life. Every time you state how tired or sick or old you are,  you’re affirming that you want to continue to feel tired or sick or old.
This was me. I grew up with surround sound negative talk. I didn’t have a model for anything else. Of course I had no idea that our words influence our biology back then. I was literally talking myself into a hospital bed without realising.
Only after waking up to the realisation that our health is a state of consciousness and with dedicated practice, have I managed to transform the way I speak to myself and as a consequence, transform my health.
It’s ok to feel negative emotions occasionally. Catch yourself when you fall into negative self-talk and make a conscious effort to change your words into something positive.With practice and increased self awareness you can replace the negative self talk program with a positive self talk program and enjoy improved health as a result.
This is so powerful it’s my #2 new rule of lasting radiant health. Yes it takes conscious practice at first but your health depends on it. If I can make the shift, so can you. Every morning write 5 positive affirmations and read them out loud eg: I AM healthy. I AM energised. I AM happy. I AM loved.
